"January 2025: A Month of Progress and Collaboration for Somalia’s Future"
January 2025 was a transformative month for Sonsa (Somalia Non-State Actors), marked by impactful engagements and initiatives aimed at fostering national unity, progress, and development. Sonsa’s Chairperson, Osman Moallim, met with His Excellency President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud to discuss critical issues such as political uncertainty, security challenges, and the upcoming one-person, one-vote elections. This dialogue emphasized the importance of inclusive governance and civil society’s role in safeguarding democratic progress.
In collaboration with Mogadishu University, Sonsa signed a Memorandum of Understanding to empower Somali youth through internships and community engagement projects.
